David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour towards female individuals.
The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
