Barça to Host First Match at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months since relocating for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced finished work included a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Stadium Testing
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
